A New Look, A New Perspective

As I am a typical Gemini who becomes easily bored, I decided to change the look of my blog.  I've opted for pink in celebration of the coming of Spring.  The image is also new.  It is a detail of the lower left corner of a Soul Portrait I just completed.  Below is the full image & the other illustrations throughout this blog entry are details.

New Looks often stem from new perspectives.  The new look of my blog is no exception.  I really can't explain what has happened to me.  I do believe it comes from Archangel Michael, who recently began channeling through me again after a nearly 10-year hiatus.

Have you ever felt that you just FEEL DIFFERENT?  Something just isn't quite the same, but you can't seem to put your finger on it?  That's how I'm feeling.  Something is different.  VERY different.  I don't know what caused it, nor can I figure out exactly what the difference is, but I sure can feel it.

For example, a negative trait of mine is that I tend to become easily frustrated.  This stems from not having a great deal of patience.  When I was pregnant with my daughter I was absolutely petrified that I would be a horrible mother because I have no patience.  However, it's true what they say - God/The Universe never gives you more than you can handle.  Not only was my pregnancy a breeze, but the baby that popped out at the end of the long haul also turned out to be a breeze.  Sleeping through the night at 10 days old, never crying unless she was sick - I had everyone telling me, "you need to have another one so you can see what it's REALLY like to have a baby!"  No, thanks!  One is enough.  Her pediatrician would be amazed when I'd bring her in sick to see him & she was just beginning to develop symptoms.  He would praise me on what a wonderfully observant mother I was, and lament that more mothers weren't like me.  After two years of hearing all the praise I finally confessed that it wasn't me at all.  It was my daughter. She happened to cry that day so I knew something was wrong.  He was flabbergasted that she never cried, only when feeling ill.  Her cry was always my alarm to call the doctor & her cry was never wrong.

However, it's not all hearts & flowers.  My daughter is now 12 & last month became a little lady.  So she's going through some very important and stressful changes.  We've begun to butt heads a bit like a couple of stubborn old goats.  One is a young goat just feeling her strengths while the other is an older goat who is now experiencing quite unwelcome body changes of her own, not to mention the mood swings, oh, but I digress ...

I feel different.  I find my perspective has somehow been altered.   Things just don't seem to be getting to me anymore.  I don't feel frustrated when things don't work out how I'd like.  It began a couple of weeks ago, very slowly, incredibly gradually, so that I didn't notice and those around me didn't notice, either.   Then as I looked back on those two weeks it dawned on me - where is the real me and where have the aliens hidden the pod???  Perhaps I shouldn't go looking for it, I'm not sure.  All I know is I'm happier, more content, and much more willing to just let things be.

For example, the big clue something had changed occurred 2 weeks ago. I was rear-ended at a red light.  The old me would have cussed a blue streak, then I would have gotten out of my car all ready to confront the blind idiot behind me & give them hell.  Instead, I sat there thinking, "Whoa!  I've just been rear-ended, not too badly it felt, but still, I hope there isn't too much damage."  I wasn't angry. I wasn't upset, just concerned about my car.

I then looked in my rear-view mirror and it was OBVIOUS the teenage girl who had rammed into me had been TEXTING WHILE DRIVING.  Oh, there are few things that get my goat more than texting while driving!  It's incredibly dangerous & you don't just run the risk of killing yourself, but other much  more careful drivers & their loved ones, as well. 

Normally this would have sent me into a fit of anger.  I probably would have jumped out yelling, "what the f* are you doing texting while driving, you f*ing idiot!"  Instead, my first thought when I realized what she had been doing was, "Oh, that poor dumb girl.  Can't she figure out it's not smart to text while driving?"

I got out & asked her to follow me into a lot so we could exchange insurance information.  She did & as we got out to talk I wasn't angry. I wasn't even upset, just a bit irritated that this was wasting my time.  I told her about the dangers of texting & she said she'd been stupid, she apologized, said it was her boyfriend & that she realized it could have been much worse & she promised me she wouldn't text & drive again.  Turns out she's really into Angels so I gave her my URL & took her email down & sent her the latest Newsletter since Archangel Michael is the dominant topic.  The damage was nothing on my Subaru Forester, but she'd scratched up her own fender of her Toyota Camry, or rather, her mother's Camry. 

That was a big red flag that something was different, but I let it pass without dwelling on it. I went about my business.  Then Ariel's dental office lost her appointment.  This happened 2 days later.  We arrived early & they claimed she wasn't in the system.  Luckily, I keep the appointment cards so I showed them.  They did make good on it, but we had to wait 30 minutes to be seen.  In the past I would have allowed this to upset me.  I wouldn't show it to them or my daughter, but while waiting I'd have thoughts like, "just more wasted time out of my life," or, "I could be home doing whatever instead of wasting my time here."   I always bring a book to read & instead of becoming upset my thought was, "Oh, well, now I can devote more time to my Stephen King book!"  My daughter also brought a book so it worked out just fine.

The BIG test came, however, yesterday.  This is when it hit me that something about me has changed.  My dad died of Parkinson's and dementia September, 2009.  He had 3 brothers.  Only 2 would bother to call & check on him while he was so ill.  I never heard from the youngest.  When Dad died the youngest brother never called me.  He didn't even bother to send a card.  My other two uncles called me.  Even my mom's youngest brother (Mom died January, 2008) called to check on me & to offer condolences.  I told my husband if I ever heard from Ralph I'd give him hell for not bothering, for obviously not caring about his own brother.  It was made worse by the fact that my dad put him through college and now this uncle has a Ph.D. and is doing very well for himself. 

Yesterday, the phone rang. I didn't recognize the number on the Caller ID & was shocked when it wasn't a solicitor, but this particular uncle.  He was all cheerful, asking how I & my family were doing.  I let him go on a bit, answered his questions, then I simply asked, "why didn't you call while Dad was sick or when he died? He asked about you repeatedly & I called you several times."  He stammered a bit, then apologized, acting the entire time like it was no big deal that his dying brother had desperately wanted to speak with him at least one last time.  I sat there listening to his lame apology thinking, "you poor man.  You're so caught up in yourself that you see nothing wrong with this. I pity you."  And I did.  I truly did.  I told him just that, too, exactly my thought word for word.  I told him there's more to life than business success & having nice things & that I felt terrible for him that he failed to realize that.  I told him I'd pray for him to come to that realization before it's too late.  Then I told him I wished him well, and I truly did, but would appreciate if he would lose my phone number.  Then I hung up and had a good cry.

When I told my husband about the phone call he was shocked.  He asked, "you didn't  yell or scream at him?  You didn't cuss him out?  What's wrong with you?"  He assured me had he been the one to answer the phone, although he's never met this uncle, he would have handled it in just that way.  My reply was, "why bother?  He clearly didn't see anything wrong in his neglect of my dad, so why should I have made a federal case out of it?  It wasn't worth the effort that would have required.  I'm just letting it all go because there's nothing I can do about it."

My husband's response was, "Oh, my God!  There must be something seriously wrong with you!"

I beg to differ. I think there is something seriously RIGHT with me, but I just can't seem to put my finger on it.  Perhaps I never will.  Do I care?  Why should I?

How to Tune into Your Angels & Spirit Guides by Archangel Michael as channeled by Nefer Khepri

Greetings & Salutations to All!

On behalf of the heavenly host I, Michael, send you Love & the Blessing of Awareness for today.  Today instead of a brief message I would like to provide each of you with a very simple little lesson.

You will need yourself (of course!), and a radio, plus some relative peace & quiet.  This exercise takes only 10 to 15 minutes.

You will be using your radio to tune into your angels, spirit guides, & all other forms of Higher Guidance.

Calm & center yourself in any way you see fit, something you're comfortable doing.  It may be just sitting there by your radio and breathing deeply while imaging a wonderful place in your mind where you can "go" to feel happy & safe.  However you get to your calming center, use that method and get there.

Next, open yourself up to receive guidance by simply stating it as a fact, "I am now open to receiving direct messages from my Higher Power."  Other terms can be substituted for "Higher Power" as you see fit.  "Guardian Angel," Any Aspect of Deity, spirit guides, or even me, if you so desire.  I love playing this game!  It's so much fun, especially to see the look on the person's face when they understand the message.  What a lovely moment that is to behold! 

  ... Next, think of an issue you would like to receive help about.  It can be a problem, or maybe even a question.  I get asked ALL the time, "what's Heaven really like?"  I can tell you in an nutshell - imagine everything you've ever wanted, imagine having it & even more.  Imagine pure joy.  That's heaven simply put.

Focus on your problem or question and repeat it as a short phrase FIVE times.  The number is important as repeating anything five times attunes it to higher vibrations. 

Next, turn the radio on.  Be sure ahead of time it's on your favorite station. It may be talk radio, but music is much more helpful with this exercise so ahead of time you may want to set it to your favorite music station. 

The NEXT song that comes on will contain the answer or guidance that you seek, so pay close attention to the words or even to the feelings it invokes in you.  Answers and guidance can also exist within how something makes you feel.  Remember that.

Finally, remember to give thanks.  Show your appreciation, and you can repeat this exercise when  you like, but I do not recommend doing it more than three times in one sitting.

Do please talk to me. I LOVE how many of you have begun or have reaffirmed your friendships with me!  I LOVE YOU ALL SO MUCH!!!!!!!!  Please KNOW and BELIEVE that!  All of you are truly God's greatest creation.  Don't you EVER forget that or allow anyone to make you feel any less than WONDERFUL!!!!!

NOTE - this is me now, Nefer.  I don't know why, but Michael just totally cracked himself up delivering this message.  He was laughing a lot.  It was quite a delight.  A sound somewhere between a trickling brook and wind chimes.  I can't describe it.  When Michael says he loves you all so much, I was filled to nearly bursting with that love & it made me burst out crying.  It was truly overwhelming and I'm here to tell you all that it's so true. It is my fondest wish that through these messages everyone who reads them will develop a closer relationship with Michael and other Beings of Light as we all go through this Great Shift together entering the New Age.

A Visit From Michael

A few days ago my 12-year old daughter & I were having breakfast & she was seated eating & I was still putting mine together so I was at the stove.  She says, "Mom! I saw a big orb & it landed in your chair!"  She's very open as that is how I'm raising her, plus she's a gifted healer who never wants to work on me :(  Anyway, I went to check it out, saw nothing, but she stuck her hand in my chair & immediately drew it back with a shocked expression saying "It's not cold!  It's HOT!"

So I felt it. Not only was it VERY hot (try a warm oven type of hot!), but it made my hand tingle & the tingling moved all the way up to my elbow.  Obviously, someone very powerful was seated in that chair. Due to the heat it only could have been Michael or the goddess Sekhmet.  Both introduce themselves with heat.  Turned out to be Michael & he gave me some valuable information for a client that I knew upset her, but she thanked me for it anyway saying it was what she needed to know & she was most grateful. 

Without thinking, when I was finished making my breakfast I sat in my chair & she says, "Mom!  You're squishing Michael!  GET OFF!" I laughed & said that he probably moved to the empty chair at the other end of the table.  That chair is in front of a bay window & it's VERY cold there due to poor insulation around those windows.  She leaned over & felt the air above the chair & said with a smile, "Oh, he's quick.  You're right.  Michael's in this chair now. It's really hot."  So I got up & felt it.  Yes, it was indeed very warm & the tingling energy was intense, almost to the point of being uncomfortable.   Yet the air around the chair itself was chilly, as usual for the morning at this time of year.

My daughter finished her breakfast & asked me if she could ask Michael to go upstairs with her to her room.  I said sure, so she & Michael both left.  As she finished getting ready for school I heard her chatting away up there to him.  When she came downstairs she looked radiant.  She was glowing with an inner light & she said, "I asked Michael for a hug & he actually hugged me!  I felt nice warmth all around me like it was angel wings."

That made me cry because once up on a time he hugged me too & I well remember how wonderful that felt & it happened during a very difficult time in my life when I wasn't able to find a job in academia.  I hadn't realized at the time that it wasn't my path, but Michael knew & he had come one day to comfort me.  It makes me incredibly happy to know that now he is also there for my daughter & I'm sure as time marches on she will develop a very special friendship with him as well. 

Only time will tell.

Happy New Year! Channeled Message From Archangel Michael (skip to next article if you read the blog from earlier in the month)

Wow!  Where has the time gone?  I can well remember the start of 2010, now we’re beginning 2011.  The year flew by particularly fast for me. Did it do the same for you?  Everyone seems to focus on resolutions for the new year.  What I did instead was to look back at 2010 & focus on the things that I accomplished.  If you do that rather than focusing on changes you wish to make you enter the new year with not only a sense of accomplishment, but it psychologically sets you up to view the new year as new opportunities for you to focus on new goals. 

I would have to say that the only resolution I am willing to make is to focus more time & energy on my art work.  One of my major accomplishments for 2010 that I am very proud of is that I began designing my own tarot deck.  This is something I’ve wanted to do for over 15 years.  I have started a couple of decks in the past, but I never stuck with them.  Being a typical Gemini (easily distracted and easily bored), I find it difficult to stick with a project through to completion.  However, on November 4, 2010 I woke up with the images of 5 brand new tarot cards in my head that were given to me in a dream by my guides.  I quickly sketched them out & began working on them.  Once they were completed I had another dream during which I was given the images to five more cards.  I am currently completing this second set of cards & I am sure once I’m done with them I’ll have another dream in which I’ll be given the images for five more cards, and so on until I’ve made my way through the entire 78-card deck.  I’m very excited about this project.  I’m calling it, of course, The Magickal Musings Tarot.  I now own the url for it & will be posting more images soon at: www.magickalmusingstarot.com.  I’m still designing the site & will have more posted soon, along with card interpretations, so please be sure to visit to see the changes.  For those of you on Facebook if you join my group, Magickal Musings Tarot, you will be the first to see the new cards as I create them.  Simply enter “magickal musings tarot” into the Facebook search field and click to join.  I’ll be happy to add you.

What do you think 2011 holds in store for you?  Upon occasion I have channeled Archangel Saint Michael for the past 20 years, off and on.  I’m very happy to report that Michael is back after a 9 year hiatus and pretty much as talkative as ever.  Here is his special & very important message for us all regarding 2011:

“My Dear Ones ~

It is I, Micha-el, he who is like God.  I come to you now with words on your new year you enumerate 2011.  This year will be a year of tremendous spiritual awakening for many who are not accustomed to such energies.  As a result, many souls who may not yet be consciously ready to grasp such concepts as Oneness & Unity, contact with Spirit – and so forth, will be suddenly awakened when Archangel Raphael opens their third eye chakra.  He will do this through a blow, almost a physical blow that many will be able to feel.  The blow will not cause any harm.  Many people are so severely blocked in their third eye that it will take a blow of significant impact to remove the blockage.  This is what will occur.  Many will feel this on or about what is termed in your calendrical system, March 15^th.  Be ready for the Awakening.

For those who are already spiritually inclined, 2011 will be a year of further spiritual growth for each of you.  You will expose yourselves to new thoughts, learn new things, & continue along your individually chosen paths of spiritual development.  New opportunities will arise for all that will help each of you along your paths.  Remember, an opportunity is only an opportunity if it is acted upon.  In each case you are always given the choice whether to accept the opportunity or deny it.  If you deny it you do so at your own peril. Now is the time of growth and advancement.  There has been NO OTHER TIME IN HUMAN HISTORY THAT HAS HAD SUCH CAPACITY FOR GROWTH AND POSITIVE CHANGE.  NOW IS THE TIME FOR WHICH MANY HAVE WAITED.  NOW HUMANS ARE ENTERING THE AGE OF AQUARIUS – THE AGE OF ENLIGHTENMENT.  REMAIN BEHIND IN THE DARK AND YOU REMAIN SO AT YOUR GREAT PERIL!  THOSE IN THE DARK SHALL BE LEFT BEHIND.

Open yourselves up to your higher guidance.  Ask your angels and spirit guides to show you the way.  They will. Now is the time.  They know this also.  They are there to help you, but in order to help you must unfetter them by asking for their help.  Angels and spirit guides cannot directly interfere in the affairs of humans unless they are asked for otherwise it interferes with Free Will.  Ask, and the help shall come, change shall materialize, growth will be achieved.  

Humanity has entered a new chapter. The lunar eclipse of your month of December ushered in the new changes.  Every human being living on that day was exposed to the energies of that eclipse.   You have been opened up to receive.  All you have to do now is to be WILLING TO RECEIVE.  Your willingness will cause the energy to manifest for you. It will manifest in the manner in which is meant FOR YOU.  This is a strictly individual manifestation.  It will manifest slightly different for everyone who is open to it.  Just know that the way in which it manifests for you is the CORRECT WAY FOR YOU.  Do not doubt it. Do not question it.  Just allow it to happen.

I know most wish to know what they can expect during 2011.  I am not a prognosticator, although many claim to channel me and say I make predictions.  I do not only because the Free Will of humanity so often changes the future.  I can say one thing, but if enough of you change your current behavior, then the future also changes.  What I can say with certainty is the world economy will slowly improve throughout 2011.  Humanity may not actually see any great changes until September, but they will occur and will be of a positive nature.  I also see the dark forces taking firmer control of those troubled areas of  your planet – Afghanistan in particular, also Pakistan and North Korea.  I see armies growing in these areas and I see greater deployment of American forces to Afghanistan in particular.  Nuclear arms will multiple in North Korea & they will be seen as a greater threat, as well they will become with such an unstable and dark leader.  Be of strong faith.  The Angelic Host is always watching and we are preparing to act.  Great change is coming, but it may not manifest until early to mid-2012.

For those of you wondering in fear about 2012 and the predicted “end times,” and the so-called end to the Mayan calendar on the date, December 21, 2012.  The calendar doesn’t “end,” it merely clicks back to the zero-starting date the Maya originally used in devising their calendar. It all clicks back to the BEGINNING, and in fact, this will be a NEW BEGINNING FOR HUMANITY. It is NOT the “end” by any means!  People are being awakened during 2011 so that when the winter solstice occurs in 2012 the Awakened Ones will be the humans who are best prepared to guide humanity to its next level of spiritual evolution.  Rejoice!  For the world will have birthing pains, as any mother does, but the winter solstice of 2012 will usher in a whole new life for all of humanity and the earth as you all progress to your next level of spiritual evolution.

I am with each of you. All you need do is call on my name & I am there.

I have not added the uppercase letters or the bold in the channeled message.  Those features were all part of the channeling session so the added emphasis comes from Michael.  I also did not presume to make any edits whatsoever.  I hope you all enjoy Michael’s message. 

If you wish to call upon Michael, I’ve included the official prayer to him used by the Catholic Church. You do NOT have to be Catholic to call upon Michael. He is willing to protect and work with anyone who calls upon him with good intentions.  If you desire, you can light a red candle to him.  Red is his color.

I guess the most important thing is that we all remain open to what is coming to us so we don’t get left out of the biggest advancement in the history of humanity.  I feel 2011 is going to be very exciting for all of us!

New Year Reading:  Discover What 2011 Holds in Store for You

At the end of each year, usually just after Christmas, I think back over the year & throw a few cards for myself.  I go over my successes and my failures.  I also focus on all the good that has happened to myself & my family.  I end my year-end session on a high note as I express gratitude for all the good things that have occurred.  In this way I open the door for more positive things to manifest during the new year.  I then spend some time focusing on the goals and wishes I have for the new year regarding myself, my family, and my business.

I will be updating that page at my site over the coming weeks, but wanted to inform you all first of a major change with this service.  I have begun using Emily Carding’s Transparent Tarot, which is pretty much the coolest tarot deck on the planet, in my opinion.  Emily designed her cards on clear plastic transparencies so that each card truly is transparent.  She took the most basic symbols associated with each card and used them as the illustration for each card.  For example, the major arcana card of Strength is often depicted with a woman somehow overcoming a lion (usually by petting it).  In this deck the lion’s head is shown with a female hand petting it.  Very simple, yet the meaning comes through.

What makes these cards totally unique is that you can layer the cards on top of each other.  By so doing, you receive a whole other image – therefore, a whole new interpretation that usually magnifies and gives deeper detail of the interpretation of the individual cards.  This deck has helped me to provide some clients with some amazing readings and I am now making this deck the official deck of my Tarot Annual Forecasts.

As a result, now for each month you won’t be receiving one card, or two, but three.  In addition to being interpreted individually, all three cards will also be placed on top of each other, thus creating a whole new image that will also be a part of the interpretation for each month’s energies.  I will still include the positive affirmation for each month based upon the message of the cards of that particular month.  Also, I am still providing an additional computer-generated reading that gives a great deal of additional detail and that I have found to be very accurate over the years.

A Visit From Dad (from a previous blog entry)

This is something I just had to share.  It's very special and so far the only person I've shared it with is my cousin, Rosie.

My father passed away on Sept. 20, 2009.  He was a very loving, generous, compassionate man.  Everyone who knew him loved him.  He had tons of friends.  Sadly, he died of Parkinson's and Alzheimer's Disease, but I'm very thankful that he knew who all of us were right up to the end.

y dad loved playing practical jokes on people.  He used to work on the janitorial staff at a hospital - just for one example.  One day he decided to go down to the morgue & lay on a table.  He put a name tag on his toe & pulled the sheet over his head.  When his friend came in he slowly rose up from the table, the sheet still over his body and head.  Naturally, his friend freaked! 

A few days prior to the anniversary of my dad's passing I was thinking of him often.  However, I had birthdays to prepare for.  My daughter's is the 14th and my husband's is the 15th.  We also went out of town for the birthdays to celebrate with his parents.  So I was pretty busy.  Upon our return I got back into the swing of things working on my business.  The day that September 20th rolled around I wasn't even aware of the date.

I was seated at the table in our breakfast nook.  It is next to a bay window that overlooks the deck we had built behind our house.  I keep the curtains closed until I'm dressed, but there's a gap in the center of the middle window so I can still see a bit of the yard even with the curtains closed.

As I ate some movement outside caught the corner of my eye.  Then I saw a light blue jacket and a straw fedora hat go by. When the weather would just begin to get cool my dad would go for his favorite jacket and hat - which was exactly what I saw outside my window.   Had we still been living in Illinois it most likely would have been a cool day, but here in Houston it was in the 80s that day.

The mind is a funny thing.  You never know how you're going to react to something like that until you're in the midst of it and even then you're never quite sure how it will all play out.  I sat there and thought to myself, "Oh, there's Dad outside on the back porch."  

I took another bite before I realized that Dad is dead.

I froze.  I felt my heart skip a beat (quite an unpleasant situation, despite what the songs say).

I jumped up & ran outside.  The air felt electrified, like it does during a huge lightning storm.  The hair on my arms stood up.  I ran along the back porch, which is only about 10 feet long, yelling, "Dad!  Dad!"  I ran out into the grass.  There would have been nowhere for him to go.  Of course, he wasn't there.

I came back into the house and had a good cry knowing I had just seen my dad's spirit.  I didn't even think to look at the calendar.

My cousin Rosie and I are very close having grown up together until our early teens when her branch of the family moved away.  As I sat at my table crying the phone rang. It was her.  When I answered she immediately heard the tears in my voice and said, "I'm so sorry.  I figured you'd be having a bad day so I called."  Rosie had also been very close to my dad.  He was a second father to her and her four brothers.  

I was confused and told her I didn't know what she was talking about.  She then cautiously said, "well, you know.  Today.  It's been one year since your dad died, right?  Today is the 20th, right?"

I sat there too stunned to say a word.  Then I told her what I had just experienced.

Growing up my dad always told me that on the one year anniversary of his death if he was okay he would come to let me know.  He said this repeatedly over the years in front of everyone - including Rosie.  She immediately recalled that and said, "Wow!  That's so much like my uncle!  Not even death could make him break a promise!" 

When my dad made a promise, he meant it.
